Trust Issues Twisted Wonderland Various X Yuji Reader

(Y/n) never wanted this to happen, watching as his friends and his teachers get picked off so easily. The town is in shambles, and people's cries can be heard over the sizzling fire. Their screams haunt (Y/n)'s memory, and they feel slightly responsible for their misery. For once, Sukuna was quiet, giving him the needed peace, as he grieved over the loss of his loved ones.

It had been a few days since the incident, scars littered his body, a harsh reminder that the war wasn't a nightmare. "At least... The town is mostly intact" (Y/n) muttered, in hopes of bringing up his mood. It did not, a mostly intact city is still a destroyed one. "You can't save everyone" Sukuna voiced, attempting to reassure his vessel. This was a normal occurrence, as their relationship wasn't as bad as it seemed.

As creepy as it is, (Y/n) appreciates the effort, as it's not every day Sukuna openly tries to comfort him. "No... But I can avenge them" (Y/n) said with a determined look. After all, tomorrow will be the Culling Games, he will have the opportunity to save Satoru from his prison and avenge the people who got caught in the war.

Getting up, (Y/n) stripped naked, showing off the prominent scars that lined his chest and back, before covering them with his pajama top. With a small yawn, he slicked his (h/c) hair back, similar to Sukuna's hairstyle whenever he took over. "Goodnight..." (Y/n) mumbled out loud, a habit he obtained when he first ate Sukuna's finger. Most of the time, he didn't receive an answer, not that it mattered.

He shuffled into the bed and draped the covers over himself, instantly snoozing away. As he slept a mirror came into view. The mirror was saying something, but honestly, he wasn't paying much attention to it. Wait! A mirror was talking?! Before he could think about the logic behind it, he started to awaken.

Confused, he sees nothing but darkness, he attempts to sit up only to smack his head into something solid. "Ow," he cried as he rubbed his aching head. "Oh! Look who's finally awake? You sleep like a fucking rock!" Sukuna exclaimed on his cheek. "This is hardly the time! Where the hell are we anyways?" (Y/n) asked as he glanced around, panicking a bit.

"How should I know? I don't watch you 24/7" Sukuna sassed, lying through his teeth. He would never admit to actually watching over his vessel. But, he does genuinely not know where they are, and that bothered him to no end. The sound of shuffling interrupted their argument, gaining both of their attention. "Hear that? Something's outside" (Y/n) said in a hushed tone.

He leaned his ear up against the nearest wall, hearing someone mumbling something. It was hard to make out what they said. "WAH!!" (Y/n) screamed as fire blasted through the top of him, on instinct he kicked upward. Sending the top off its hinges, causing it to fly upward, taking his assailant with it.

"GAH!!" They screamed as well as they landed on the harsh floor, taking a pitiful gasp of pain as the lid landed right on top of them. (Y/n) peeked out from his spot, innocently eyeing his surroundings before fully getting out. He scratched the back of his head as he looked to the... Odd being then to the thing he was lying in.

"Huh? I was laying in a coffin? Wait, did I die?!" (Y/n) panicked as he patted himself down. "Idiot, you did not die" Sukuna grumbled with a hand placed to his face at his vessel's stupidity. "Oh right... Then why was I in a coffin?" (Y/n) asked out loud as he placed a hand on his chin.

"Geh... You damn human, you got a lot of nerve attacking me like that" Grim grumbled as he pushed the coffin lid off of him. Confused, (Y/n) turned to the strange creature, eyeing it judgingly. "Don't look at me like that! Now, give me your- EEP!!" Grim screamed as he narrowly avoided (Y/n)'s fist.

The ground which he stood on cracked and created a dent, causing his face to pale in dread. (Y/n) looked up at Grim with a dark look, promising nothing but death. "Stand still, so I can exorcise you, curse" (Y/n) demanded as he glared daggers into the being. "Woah! Woah! I'm not a curse!" Grim cried, which went unheard as he narrowly avoided another attack.

"This human is crazy!!" Grim thought as he ran for his life, with (Y/n) hot on his tail. Soon, to Grim's misfortune, he was cornered in the Library. "Stay back! Or... Or I'll burn you to a crisp!" Grim threatened as he blew fire at the ground in front of him. (Y/n) eyed the pitiful flame with a frown, before looking at Grim again.

"You know, for a curse that can talk, you're pretty weak. Less than 3rd Grade, maybe" (Y/n) noted as he pointed at Grim. "Excuse me?! Who are you calling weak?! I'll show you- AHH!! LET GO!!" Grim cried as (Y/n) easily entrapped Grim in his grasp. "Maybe it's a talking fly head, how odd" (Y/n) commented as he poked at Grim's ears.

"Ah! I've found you at last!" Someone interrupted as they rushed over to them. "Oh thank goodness! Please help me- Mph!!" Grim's cries were silenced as (Y/n) placed a hand over his mouth. "You must be one of the new students for this year. I see you were eager to make your debut" Crowley said, ignoring Grim's whines and muffled pleads.

"I see you brought an untrained familiar with you. That's a clear violation of the school rules" Crowley scolded him. "Huh? Familiar? Who even are you?" (Y/n) questioned, looking at Crowley as if he grew two heads. "Did you lose your memory on your way here? I'm one of the head mages, Dire Crowley. Now enough chatter, we are late for orientation" Crowley said as he ushered (Y/n) forward.

"Is this man deaf or stupid? Clearly, he could be both" Sukuna insulted as he eyed Crowley from (Y/n)'s cheek. "That's not nice" (Y/n) mumbled with a prominent scowl. "This is Night Raven College, it is an institution for students the world over who demonstrate a rare aptitude for magic" Crowley explained as they walked. "Oh, like cursed energy!" (Y/n) commented out loud as he lit up like a light bulb.

"I've never heard of such a thing, but I'll assume that's what you call your magic," Crowley said as he shrugged. "Anyways, this school is one of the most prestigious academies of its sort, in all of Twisted Wonderland" he continued to explain. (Y/n) nodded along as he listened intently, slightly forgetting about Grim, who was still trapped in his tight grasp.

"Alright... So, I was elected by, being in a casket? Seems odd for a mode of transportation" (Y/n) commented as he tilted his head to the side. "It's aesthetic, to bring mystery to the school and not startle the student on arrival," Crowley said with a proud look.

"Knowing him, he probably came up with the idea" Sukuna mocked, as he continued to scowl at Crowley from (Y/n)'s cheek. "He's like Gojo-Sensei" (Y/n) noted in a hushed town, earning a loud groan of annoyance in his mind. "You should be honored that the Dark Mirror chose you as a student for this academy," Crowley said, oblivious to the insults thrown at him, too absorbed in flaunting his school.

"Great... I feel so honored" (Y/n) mumbled sarcastically, something that Crowley did not pick up on. "Mmfff!! Mmmmfff!!" Grim's muffled screams and insistent struggles caught (Y/n)'s attention. "Oops... I forgot I was holding this guy" (Y/n) thought with a nervous smile. But he made no moves to release Grim, figuring that it was best to keep Grim restrained.

"Now, let us attend to your orientation," Crowley said as he opened the door, stepping through first. Not caring to hold the door open for (Y/n). As they grew closer to the Mirror Chamber, (Y/n) could make out mumbles of other students. "Silence! All of you! We are not done with orientation" Crowley announced as he barged into the room, with (Y/n) casually following behind him

"We still have one more student, who failed to show up at orientation," he said before turning to (Y/n). "Go on, you're the only one who wasn't assigned a dorm. Step up to the Dark Mirror and be quick about it. I'll watch your weasel" he rudely said as he took Grim from (Y/n)'s hold. "How demanding" (Y/n) thought as he sweatdropped, before stepping up to the very familiar mirror.

"State your name" the mirror spoke, slightly spooking (Y/n). "Woah, it talks," he said with wide eyes, leaning forward to get a better look. "Your name?" The mirror asked, causing (Y/n) to stiffen up, realizing his mistake. "Oops, my bad, it's erm... Itadori, (Y/n) " he introduced himself with a hand to his chest.

"Itadori, (Y/n)... The nature of your soul is..." The mirror trailed off, staying silent for a few minutes. "Is my soul really that fucked up to make a talking mirror go silent?" (Y/n) thought with a nervous look, believing he had broken the mirror. "Your soul is fine, the mirror is just slow" Sukuna reassured him, at the expense of blaming the poor mirror.

"Unclear to me" the mirror finally spoke, shocking everyone around them. "What did you just say?" Crowley asked in disbelief. "Their magic is not of this world and not of their own, something ancient and unknown lies within them. Therefore, no dorm would be appropriate" the mirror clarified.

"Not of this world, huh?" Sukuna mumbled, tapping his chin in thought. "That's what got your attention?" (Y/n) mumbled, figuring that a talking mirror knowing about Sukuna would've caught his interest. Then again, being in different worlds was also shocking. Wait! That meant he didn't attack a curse earlier, instead, he attacked a possible student!

(Y/n)'s eyes widen in realization, he'll most likely attempt apologizing to the being later. His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of silent chatter, as people gossiped about him. "Are you saying that the Black Carriage made a mistake? But that's absurd! The student selection process has not erred once in its century of existence! How could this have happened?" Crowley demanded as if the mirror had an answer.

"Why's he looking at us? It's not our fault his school is stupid" Sukuna snapped, earning a sigh from his vessel. "Don't be mean, I'm sure it's just a simple mistake" (Y/n) mumbled as he glanced to the side. "Mmmph! Nnnrggh... Gasp! Me! Let me have this student's seat!" Grim exclaimed, finally able to talk.

"Not so fast, you hyperactive weasel!!" Crowley exclaimed as he attempted to get the creature under control. "Unlike that human, I originated from this world! So let me be a student here!" Grim reasoned with a cocky smirk. "I don't think it works like that" (Y/n) commented with a blank look. "Shut up! And feast your eyes on my spells are the cat's meow!" Grim growled before lighting the room ablaze.

"Everyone get down!" Riddle warned, a tad too late, as someone got hit by the flame. Fire, all (Y/n) saw was fire, the screams of the students overlaying the screams of victims he once heard. With a dark scowl, he rushed into the flames, his hood bouncing off due to his speed. Grim didn't see him coming until he was knocked to the ground in full force.

"AHHHH! HELP! I'm on fire!!" Kalim screamed as he ran around like a headless chicken. Everyone ignored him, as they stared at (Y/n) in awe. They had just watched him take down the threat with ease! But, the most notable attribute was the scars on his face. One would assume he was some gang member, roughed up by years of battle and experience.

"My, my, what a lovely display!" Azul praised as he clapped for (Y/n). "What an odd experience, am I allowed to go now... or?" Leona grumbled, looking ready to fall over and pass out. (Y/n) ignored the two as he lifted the struggling creature in his hands. He then turned to Kalim with a worried gaze, knowing he was the only one to get caught in the battle.

"Are you alright? Sorry I didn't help you out earlier" (Y/n) apologized as he rubbed the back of his head. Kalim brimmed with happiness, it sort of reminded (Y/n) of his past self. "You're so sweet! Thank you for checking on me! I'm alright, see? Only burned clothes" Kalim said as he showed off his back. Indeed, his clothes were burned, but the fire did not seem to have attacked his skin.

Sukuna scoffed in disgust, he already had one happy-go-lucky brat, he did not need two. "What a relief..." (Y/n) mumbled as he let out a sigh. "Excuse me, do you mind letting the creature go?" Riddle asked as he nonchalantly approached (Y/n). "Huh? Are you sure? I don't want it to cause more destruction than it already has" (Y/n) said, looking unsure.

"I admire you worry, but do not fret, I will deal with him" Riddle reassured him. "If you say so..." (Y/n) said nervously, before releasing Grim. "Hah!- MYAH?!" Grim's short cheer of freedom was quickly interrupted by a strange collar appearing around his neck. "Woah, that's so cool!" (Y/n) gushed as stars appeared in his eyes.

Riddle felt oddly touched by the praise, but shrugged it off quickly. "What is this?!" Grim asked as he yanked at the collar, in hopes of getting it off. "A collar, you damn pet" Sukuna answered snarkily in (Y/n)'s mind, knowing Grim can't hear him. "Under The Queen of Heart's Rule 23: 'One must never bring a cat to a formal affair'. Your very presence here is a violation of the order. You will vacate these premises immediately" Riddle ordered as he glared at the cat.

"Wait, that's a cat?" (Y/n) questioned with dotted eyes. "I am not a cat! Don't try collaring me! I'll burn it right off!" Grim exclaimed as he tried to use his fire. "Huh...? Wh-What gives? My fire ain't workin'!" He panicked, realizing he was in deep trouble. "Oh, I see, it's a magic restraint" (Y/n) noted as he hit his fist into his flat palm.

"Exactly, and until I say so, your collar will not be removed and you won't be able to use magic. You're naught but a pet cat now" Riddle said with a smirk. "Wait... Isn't that what Sukuna said, though?" (Y/n) thought, sweatdropping slightly. "M-meoWHAT?! I ain't nobody's pet!" Grim exclaimed as he struggled with the collar.

"If he keeps being annoying, he'll be a dead pet" Sukuna complained, finding Grim's voice irritating. "Speaking of pets, (Y/n), you need to keep your Familiar under control. Since he is your familiar, you should take full responsibility for his actions" Crowley scolded (Y/n) with a stern gaze. "Eh? Sorry, but that's not my familiar" (Y/n) said as he pointed at Grim with dotted eyes.

"If anyone was an untrained familiar, it'd be the curse I'm harboring" (Y/n) thought, holding back on saying that out loud. "If anyone's a familiar, it's you, brat" Sukuna hissed, clearly offended. "Wait, he's not yours?" Crowley asked with a look of confusion. "No, Sir" (Y/n) corrected as he shook his head from side to side.

"Oh... Well, then I shall have it expelled from campus. I shall even spare it from being served as dinner. My, but I am kind! Someone take this away" Crowley ordered as he pointed to Grim. "He calls that kind?" (Y/n) thought with a bewildered look, ignoring the cries that came from Grim as he was dragged away.

"Now that is over, I hereby declare that orientation has concluded. Housewardens, please escort your students back to the dorms" Crowley ordered as he looked around. "Hm? Come to think of it, I don't see Housewarden Draconia of House Diasomnia anywhere" he noted out loud. "The house of what?" (Y/n) questioned, finding the name odd, and way too long to wrap his head around.

"And that surprises you? Dude's a total recluse" Leona grumbled, ignoring the hypocrisy in his words. "Wait, did anyone even invite him?" Kalim asked curiously. "If you're that worried about him missing out, then you should have told him yourself" Vil commented. (Y/n) briefly eavesdropped on the argument, based on the collected information, no one liked this Housewarden guy.

He hasn't even met the dude and he already feels bad for them. Soon, everyone shuffled off, chatting away about the day's chaos. "Thank you again, for catching that cat," Riddle said with a slight head bob. "Oh, it's no problem, really" (Y/n) said with a nervous smile as he waved him off. Riddle smirked, finding the boy's actions a bit cute, but then frowned, reminding himself that he would never see (Y/n) again.

"I do hope our paths cross again," Riddle said before heading off. "Ah, sure?" (Y/n) said, which sounded more like a question. "Your agility is amazing, the mirror said you hold great power. I expect much from you" Azul praised as he walked past him. "Thanks?" (Y/n) questioned, unsure if that was a compliment or a creepy flirt.

"You know, someone like you shouldn't have such an ugly scar," Vil said as he approached (Y/n). "Well someone like you shouldn't have a stick up their ass" (Y/n) retorted with his hands on his hips. Vil gave a huff in the mock offense before heading off. "What a pompous asshole" Sukuna snarled as he glared at Vil's back, if looks could kill, Vil would have a hole drilled through his stomach.

"You're one to talk" (Y/n) mumbled as he rolled his eyes and quickly caught Kalim's figure running up to him. "If you stick around, please come by my dorm! The Scarabia Dorm, I'll be sure to make a massive banquet for you" Kalim said with a bright smile. "That's nice of you, but I would not want to intrude" (Y/n) said with a nervous smile as he waved his hands around.

"Nonsense! You won't intrude at all! I welcome you with open arms, new friend!" Kalim chirped as he swung an arm around (Y/n)'s shoulder. (Y/n) felt out of place, normally he would be the one smiling like the sun and forcing friendship on anyone he spotted. Now, he's just a shut-in, introvert, afraid that every friend he could potentially make could end up dying on him.

"Sure..." (Y/n) lied through his teeth, knowing he'd avoid Kalim, along with anyone else, in order to not get close to them. Suddenly he heard a click noise, he whipped his head around and spotted a strange device floating in the air. The device said nothing as it casually floated away. "Sweet! I hope to see you soon!" Kalim chirped, regaining his attention, as he let him go, happily skipping off.

Silence fell over the room, as (Y/n) was left alone with Crowley, the worst person to be stuck with. "Well, (Y/n), this is a most unfortunate turn of events. I'm afraid that you will not be attending Night Raven College after all. Although you have magic power, you must be assigned a dorm room to attend. But, worry not, the Dark Mirror will see you safely home" Crowley said as he gestured to the mirror.

"It will? But didn't it say I'm not of this world? How would it send me back?" (Y/n) asked curiously. "Ehm... It just will, go on, just visualize the place from whence you came" Crowley said as he ushered him forward. "This obviously won't work" Sukuna grumbled, already foreseeing the inevitable events.

"I might as well try" (Y/n) mumbled with a shrug, not seeing the harm in testing the mirror in its abilities. He closed his eyes as he visualized his home, his thoughts briefly imagining the destruction the curses caused. Then he remembered how he still had to rescue his teacher. He had nearly forgotten about Satoru, too distracted by his strange surroundings. He had to get back home and save his poor teacher!

"O Dark Mirror! Return this soul to where it belongs!" Crowley ordered as if his words would work in achieving the transportation process. The mirror stayed silent as nothing seemed to have happened, making Crowley nervous. "L-Let us, er... Try this again. O Dark Mirror! Return this soul-" Before he could repeat his words, he was promptly cut off.

"There is no such place," the mirror said, (Y/n)'s eyes snapped open as dread pooled in his stomach. "What?" (Y/n) asked in hopes he heard wrong. "As I said before, he is not of this world, thus, there is no place where this soul belongs" the mirror rephrased. "See? What a waste of time" Sukuna said in a bored tone, as (Y/n) slumped over in defeat.

"How can this be? My, today is a veritable cavalcade of impossible phenomena! This has never happened throughout my long tenure. I must confess that I am at something of a loss" Crowley said, confusing the poor male. "Why does his speech always have to be so complicated to understand?" (Y/n) internally complained.

"Tell me, from what land do you hail?" Crowley asked as he looked at (Y/n) expectingly. "I... Um... Come from Tokyo, Japan. But I was more so thinking about the town Shibuya" (Y/n) answered nervously. Crowley put a hand under his chin, humming as he thought long and hard. "I'm afraid I am not familiar with such places" Crowley admitted with a slight frown.

"Why does he look so surprised? The mirror told him twice that we're not from this world. I swear, his brain is as small as yours" Sukuna complained, fed up with Crowley's lack of listening skills. "Well, this is quite a predicament... With you being here, you cannot enter the school, but I loathe to send you off without a place to go. Truly my grace is boundless" Crowley mumbled to himself.

"Hmm... Ah! There is a vacant building on campus. It was, in fact, used as a dorm a long time ago. With proper cleaning, it should be habitable enough. Out of the profound kindness of my heart, I will allow you to live there for the time being. In the meantime, we will investigate other ways to send you home" Crowley said with a proud smile. (Y/n) sweatdropped as he stared at Crowley with dotted eyes. "Right... So where is this dorm?" He asked curiously.

~~~
(Y/n) stared at the rundown dorm with a look of disgust, while both of Sukuna's eyes were wide open on his cheeks. Slowly, (Y/n) to Crowley with a dark look, his (e/c) eyes slowly turning red. "You will fix this, now" Sukuna demanded with an intense gaze that sent shivers down Crowley's back. "Oh! Would you look at that? There's a special wand that can fix this whole place! Isn't that nice?" Crowley said as he whipped out a wand.
With an easy wave of his hand, the dorm looked as good as new, and then he handed (Y/n) the wand. Sukuna snatched the wand from Crowley with a dark scowl before stuffing it into his pocket. "Now then, I must be off, Do try to find some way to busy yourself. But don't let me catch you wandering the campus! Ta~" Crowley said as he quickly fled.
"I hate his pompous ass" Sukuna growled before proceeding back into (Y/n)'s mind. "Well... At least we have a place to stay. Plus a random... Wand?" (Y/n) said with a nervous smile. "I refuse to live in a rundown home, looked over by a clown" Sukuna snarled as his mouth appeared on (Y/n)'s cheek.
It wasn't long before they heard the pitter-patter of rain falling on the newly built roof. "Gwah! It's pouring out there!" Grim complained as he managed to crawl his way into the home. "Oh, it's you! I forgot to apologize to you earlier, for mistaking you as a curse" (Y/n) said with an apologetic smile.
"Ha! As if I'd forgive you so easily, human! You better bow down and beg! After all, I will become a great mage one day" Grim snickered as he puffed up his chest. "The only thing you are, is an annoying cat" Sukuna spat, causing Grim to jump up in fright. "Who was that?! Come out! I'm not afraid to fight you!" Grim exclaimed as his fur stood on end.
"Please, as if that's threatening" Sukuna mocked as he rolled his eye. "Sukuna be nice, we are strangers here" (Y/n) scolded him as he glanced down toward his cheek. "Egh! You have a strange eye and mouth on your cheek!" Grim yelled as he pointed at (Y/n). "Don't point at me so casually, you damn-" Sukuna was quickly cut off as (Y/n) smacked a hand over his cheek.
"Sorry, he likes to pop out sometimes" (Y/n) apologized with a nervous smile. "Wait... Is that the thing the mirror was talking about? The all-powerful source, is just an extra mouth and eyeball? How pathetic!" Grim cackled, finding the idea hilarious. "Brat, let me out so I can skin him alive!" Sukuna demanded as he glared at Grim from (Y/n)'s cheek.
"No! I refuse to allow you to hurt more people" (Y/n) hissed as he glared to the side. "You let me out for that pompous asshole, why not for this annoying pest?" Sukuna retorted. "That's different, without you, we would be living in a rundown shitshow" (Y/n) argued, clueless to the stare Grim is sending him.
"You're one strange human" Grim said as he looked at (Y/n) as if he was crazy. "Well, you're one strange creature" (Y/n) retorted, as he eyed the creature back. "Since you'll be staying here, we should look for rooms to sleep in" (Y/n) suggested as he headed off, not caring if the creature followed. "Tch, whatever" Grim grumbled as he reluctantly followed after him.
As they wandered the hallway, there was a strange creaking noise, which mostly freaked Grim out. "What was that?" Grim asked as he stuck close to (Y/n). "Probably the house settling, it's not uncommon" (Y/n) reassured, having gotten used to the strange noises when it came to investigating abandoned places.
Suddenly, something appeared in the corner of his eyes, and on instinct he punched the nearest entity. "OW!! That hurt!" The ghost cried as it held its stomach. "G-Ghost!!" Grim cried as he cowered in fear, as (Y/n) eyed the ghosts. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. I reacted on instinct, are you alright?" (Y/n) asked worriedly, as he eyed the injured ghost.
"I'm alright... No harm done, I should've expected that after trying to scare you" the ghost said with a reassuring smile. "What kind of ghost gets hurt?" Sukuna questioned, clearly unimpressed by the ghost. "We haven't had friends in a long while, all the people who used to live here always got scared of us," the second ghost explained.
"We just want a new ghost to play with, what do you say?" The third ghost asked. "I'm sorry, but I kind of like living currently" (Y/n) apologized as he scratched his cheek. "But will you be sticking around? We noticed this place changed back to its original form" the first ghost noted as they got up from, no longer in pain.
"We are, this cat and I are staying here temporarily" (Y/n) explained as he gestured to Grim. "I am not a cat!!" Grim exclaimed, now enraged that he kept getting called different creatures. "Well, I would stop calling you that, if you told me your name" (Y/n) said as he turned to Grim. "I'm Grim, remember it well, human!" Grim said as he pointed at (Y/n) accusingly.
"We hate to interrupt, but I noticed you have a lot of scars on your face" the second ghost noted as he floated close to (Y/n). Ah, so Sukuna didn't heal the scars when he temporarily took over to scare Crowley. "I prefer to not talk about my scars. Now, may you please lead us to a bedroom that we can sleep in?" (Y/n) asked politely. The ghosts looked at each other before giving (Y/n) a nod and floated down the hall, leading them to their new rooms.
